Achieve your soccer goals at MBS with our Perform with Purpose mental skills program! MBS and Potomac Soccer have created an exciting partnership to work with individual players, teams, and families to develop a mindset geared towards developing the whole player. Our Athletic Performance Counseling uses a combination of the latest neuroscience research, behavioral assessments, and proven techniques to help athletes reduce distractions and focus their efforts on achieving their goals.
Who are we?
MBS Performance Counseling works with athletes that range from middle school-aged to professional players. Our owner, Ryan Defibaugh, is a former collegiate soccer player, former Potomac player, and coach, as well as former Division I coach for both Penn State University (Men) and Mount St. Mary’s University (Women). Through his coaching and recruiting experiences he noticed specific mindsets that flourished at the higher levels. From here, Ryan developed the Perform with Purpose model to introduce, teach, and apply these same mindset skills to athletes of all ages. Ryan is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LCPC) as well as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
Our lessons and strategies not only work on the field, but can also be applied in the classroom and in our everyday lives to promote confidence, empowerment, and enjoyment.
