Steve Knapman has been coaching in the Maryland, D.C., and Virginia area for nineteen years and Steve holds an English Football Association B License and USSF A License.
Steve’s playing career began in England at 16 as a trainee with Oldham Athletic where he got to play against the likes of David Beckham and Paul Scholes. He also had short spells at Wigan Athletic and Blackpool before moving to Hong Kong where he played in their professional first division. Here in the United States, Steve was a member of the professional Maryland Mania team in 1999 and trained with DC United for 6 months in 1998 where he was coached by ex-US Men’s National Team Coaches Bruce Arena and Bob Bradley.
