Tom Noonan joined Potomac Soccer Association in 2017, where he was a coach in the 2009 Boys age group for two years. He is now in his second year as the head coach of the 2003 Boys (03 Blue). Tom serves as the Director of Schedules and Programs and is the chief CCL scheduler for the club.
Tom is also a head coach for Brit-Am Soccer Academy in their All-Star team program and is the Director of Coaching for the Player Development League (PDL) — a joint Potomac and Brit-Am program for ages 5-8. He served as the Head Coach of the Saint John’s Catholic Prep Varsity Boys Soccer team from 2011-2017, Assistant Coach of the Hood College Men’s Soccer team from 2008-2010, and is a current Assistant for the Good Counsel Boys Varsity Soccer team.
Tom graduated from Hood College in 2008 with a Bachelors Degree in Management and earned his MBA in finance in 2011. At Hood, Tom was a four-year starter and two-year captain. Coach Tom also played alongside PSA Futures Director of Coaching, Mars Rabara, where the two formed a tremendous partnership on the field — combining for 53 goals and 40 assists (146 total points) during their four years together. Tom was inducted into the Hood College Athletics Hall of Fame in 2015.
Tom is originally from Long Island, New York, where he played Club for Northport/Cow Harbor Soccer Club (’86 Thunder) and lettered for the Saint Anthony’s HS Boys Varsity Soccer Team, where he also served as team captain. Tom also lettered as a Varsity sprinter, where he competed in the 4×2 relay, 300m, and 55m.
Tom currently resides in Montgomery County, MD with his girlfriend Jennifer, who also coaches at Potomac Soccer, and their two dogs “Revis” and “Samson.”
