APPLY WITH CONFIDENCE: If the Tournament is canceled due to Covid-19 prior to April 10, (acceptance deadline) no application fees will be charged. If the event is canceled in its entirety after April 10, including for reasons related to Covid-19, meaning no games have kicked off for the event, refunds will be determined by the Tournament Committee after all tournament expenses have been paid.

Location:

Maryland SoccerPlex (Germantown, MD), Bullis School and Connolly School of the Holy Child (Potomac, MD) Landon School (Bethesda, MD) Capital Polo Grounds and Muldoon’s Farm (Poolesville, MD) Laytonia Recreational Park (Gaithersburg, MD)

Airports:

Our location can be easily accessed from either of 3 airports; Baltimore/Washington International (BWI), Washington Dulles International (IAD), and Reagan National (DCA).

Hotels:

Hotels must be reserved through the Montgomery County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). Detailed information and a link for on-line housing service requests will be available on their website. We anticipate the hotel link to open on or about

Sanctions:

The Potomac Memorial Tournament is sanctioned through US Youth Soccer and participation is open to all teams.

Ages:

There will be competitions for boys ages U9 through U19 with multiple flights as appropriate. Age groups U9 and U10 will be 7v7, U11 and U12 will be 9v9. Age groups U13 through U19 will be 11v11.

Entry Fees:

U9 & U10 – $800
U11/U12 – $995
U13 – $1,195
U14 – $1,295
U15 – $1,375
U16 thru U19 – $1,395

Format:

U9-U15 – Each team will continue to play in a standard tournament format with 2 games on Saturday, 1 game on Sunday, and finals Monday for those teams that qualify.

U16-U19 – Each team will play in a modified showcase format with 3 group games and finals on Monday for those teams that qualify. Group games will be held Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday. Friday games will begin no earlier than 1 pm. Teams can opt IN to Friday evening matches if requested.

Tournament Headquarters:

Tournament Headquarters is located at the beautiful 24 fields Maryland SoccerPlex in Germantown, MD.

Insurance:**

The tournament will refund application fees when the event is canceled or postponed, so long as the cancellation or postponement is the sole and direct result of a cause not otherwise excluded. The cause of the cancellation or postponement must occur during the period of insurance and be beyond the control of both the tournament organizer and the participant(s). Full refunds will only be applicable in the instance that no games have been completed. A partial refund may also be granted if a tournament is shortened due to reasons out of our control. Any partial refunds will be at the sole discretion of the tournament organizer and only after confirmation from the Insurers.

**Please Note: Due to the nature of the agreement with the insurance company, the cost of insurance is not able to be included in the claim. For example, a full cancellation refund is the entry fee minus the cost/rate of insurance. Refunds for insured canceled events are subject to
approval of the insurance claim by the insurance underwriters and is not guaranteed.
