Girls Program Info

The Potomac Soccer Association girls travel team program is one of top soccer programs in the Washington D.C. Metro area. Our players along with our top-level coaching staff compete in the Elite Development Program (EDP) and the National Capitol Soccer League (NCSL). Our program is designed for players who are looking to compete at the top level while also developing the skills to succeed not just on the pitch but off of it as well. 

PSA Futures Phase (U7/8-U10)

    Small Sided Soccer Formats (4v4-7v7)
  • 4 Levels of Growth – Character | Cognition | Technical & Tactical | Intro to Principles of Play

  • Player Centric approach to Coaching (Guide the Player/Guide the Team)

PSA Development Phase (U11-U14)

  • Pathway – From Futures Phase to Development Phase
  • Small Sided Soccer to Full Sided (9v9-11v11)
  • 4 Levels of Growth – Character | Cognition | Technical & Tactical | Comprehension of Principles of Play
  • Focus on Development. Additional focus on Results
  • Preparing players for High School Soccer
  • Player Centric approach to Coaching (Guide the Player/Guide the Team)
  • Promote learning with understanding & self-evaluation during the process

PSA Competition Phase (U15-U19)

  • Full Sided (11v11)

  • Focus on Results and Development

TRYOUT REGISTRATION INFORMATION

ALL PLAYERS (current PSA players and non-PSA players) wishing to play for a PSA team MUST register ONLINE through the Sports Connect system to attend a Tryout Session with their appropriate birth year/age group. This tryout registration is the first step to team registration and will be at no charge.

  • Tryout Sessions are being held on a rolling basis throughout the summer
  • All Tryout Sessions will be run by PSA Technical Staff, PSA Head Coaches in the age group and other PSA Coaches.

If you are interested in joining the PSA Girls Program for the 2022-2023 season sign up for a free training session!
Non-PSA players will need to attend  a tryout session in order to be placed on a PSA team for the 2023-24 seasonal year.

TRYOUTS ARE FREE

Players who are currently rostered Potomac Soccer Association are still required to go through the tryout process. Coaches are continually evaluating and assessing current PSA players throughout the year.

All official offers to current or new players (non-PSA) will be made via the PSA Sports Connect registration system within two weeks of the tryout. Please check your spam inbox.
